Monday, at 9 lbs, 11 oz, Sam finally topped his dad’s birth weight. Go Sam!

3 months! (And 2 months…)

Sambutt turned 3 months old on Sunday!

Month three was a busy one: trips to the zoo, weigh-ins at the doctors office, baptism, mama/baby class, and rallying to restore sanity (on our couch). Here’s the three-month-old movie:

How to Know You’re a Mom

You are nonchalant about being covered in any variety of bodily fluids.

Your baby spits up, somehow gets it on the back of his head, and your first instinct is to take a picture.

After dressing the baby, you find yourself contemplating which pacifier best goes with his outfit.

You call the after-hours nurse line at least once a week (thank goodness they are so patient!)

And, how to know you’re and OVERTIRED mom:

Two times in the last week, Peter has walked into the room and been greeted by “wait! where’s Sam?”…while I’m nursing.

Oh my goodness, he’s so little!

How much did he weigh when he was born?

3 pounds, 4 ounces.

Oh wow. Did he have to stay at the hospital?

Yes, for two and a half weeks.

But he’s doing okay now?

Yes, he’s doing great.

I had a aunt/cousin/sister who had a preemie.

Oh.

He’s just so little!

Yes.
